Individuals, families, and groups of friends may want to assemble sandwiches or make cookies, etc. Alternately, you may want to purchase prepared food to contribute. And there is also a slot for individually-packaged snacks.

Each signup slot should serve 25. Each signup slot should serve 20-25 (a good rule of thumb is to fill a half-size aluminum catering pan). We are trying to provide a total of 50 servings for the entrée, side dish and dessert so you will see two slots of 25 servings each week. 

Drop off to the Manion Hall kitchen on Sunday between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm OR on Monday mornings between 8:00 and 9:00 am. Go to the walk-in refrigerator in the back left of the kitchen, place your donation on the shelves on the right side, ideally, marked "Hearty Meals." Volunteers will pick up the food and deliver to the Somerville Homeless Coalition Monday morning.

Please deliver food in a disposable container (or one you don’t need returned).

Background:

Shelters for the homeless are closed during the daytime hours. Somerville Homeless Coalition opened the Engagement Center three years ago to give folks a place to get shelter and protection from the elements, engage with others, be productive, and enjoy a meal. St. Eulalia formed a committee to plan a way we could get the parish involved in this important role as a Lenten practice and interest has been expressed to continue this ministry in the Easter season and beyond.
